Associations
A number of parent groups provide invaluable support for the School and its activities. An outline of each of the groups is given in this booklet and your involvement on one of the committees or as a participant in activities is warmly invited.
Cooerwull
Cooerwull is the original name of Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School and is now the name of the Association that recognises service to the school. It provides opportunities for current and past parents, staff and others who have served Ivanhoe Girls’ to meet socially and retain links to the School.

The Greek Parents’ Committee would like to welcome all new students and parents. Each year the Committee organises a dinner dance for the School community which is held at the end of May. This year it is on Saturday 31 May.

The Friends of Music is a group of interested parents who generally meet every third Tuesday of the month in term time in the Boardroom, 123 Marshall Street, Ivanhoe at 8.00pm. The aims and objectives of the Friends of Music are to support and promote music within the School community and to create friendships by this common interest.

The Ivanhoe Girls’ Old Grammarians’ Association invites all past students of the School to become Life Members when they leave the School.

The Mothers’ Association was established in 1926 and aims to inform and connect members, support the interests and welfare of the School and the girls through various social events and fundraising.

The Parents and Friends’ Association is a group of parents and friends who meet on the first Tuesday of each month during term time. Meetings are held in the Boardroom at 123 Marshall Street, Ivanhoe at 8.00pm.

This is a committee of parents of girls involved in the ski team. The committee supports Team Ivanhoe Ski Team by ongoing social and fundraising events, assisting with training and competition at Mt Buller and Lake Mountain and administrative support for staff.

The Ivanhoe Art & Craft Show is organised each year by Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School and the Rotary Club of Heidelberg. 2007 will be the 36th year of this very successful show.
