At Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School we aim to challenge and inspire each student and help her develop the skills and confidence to enable her to strive towards achieving her personal goals and to contribute to the wider community.
With just over 1,000 students from the Early Learning Centre to Year 12, our School provides the perfect balance of individual attention and breadth of choice. Ivanhoe Girls' is small enough for us to focus on each student as a unique individual learner yet large enough to be able to offer a broad range of choices within the formal curriculum and a wide range of co-curricular opportunities.
We are firmly committed to providing the best possible learning environment. Our students are encouraged to develop a life-long love of learning. We help them to develop confidence, resilience and self-esteem in an environment which encourages respect for the individual, together with tolerance and understanding of others.
The best learning environment is one where girls are the sole focus of the learning, which allows them to develop their own voices. Girls flourish in learning settings where they are provided with opportunities to learn using their preferred collaborative learning styles yet where they are also encouraged to develop a broad range of thinking and learning skills and strategies.
From our Early Learning Centre to Year 12, each girl is provided with a structured learning environment best suited to her developmental and learning needs. She is encouraged to develop her leadership and organisational skills in a supportive and stimulating environment in which effort and excellence are recognised and highly valued.
Opportunities and choices abound in the twenty-first century and today's young people face a myriad of decisions about their futures. At Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School we seek to give young women the knowledge, skills and confidence to make their own choices, leading them to a diverse range of tertiary courses and careers, and preparing them to meet the exciting challenges ahead in their future.
