Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School

Application Procedures

An application for enrolment must be made to Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School on the School's official form. This form should be sent to the School together with a copy of your birth certificate or passport, copies of recent school reports and public examination results and the non-refundable application fee of $125*.

When the School has received the application form, contact details will be sent to Australian Education Assessment Services (AEAS) in the student's home country. The student should then arrange an assessment of English language proficiency with AEAS. The cost will be advised by AEAS. Each student is required to complete an English proficiency test so that she may be placed in the appropriate year level and so that the School can best assist her in her learning.

On receipt of the assessment of the test results and school reports, the School will advise if a place is to be offered. A letter of offer will outline the commencement and finish date of the course and the Year level of entry and the fees to be paid. Fees payable will include tuition fees for 12 months, health insurance for duration of secondary studies and guardianship fees
if needed.

To accept an offer, payment of requested fees and return of the following completed documents is required - the terms and conditions of enrolment form, excursion consent form, guardianship and homestay forms.

An electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) will be issued on receipt of all of the above. This will enable the student to complete her visa application.

Visas

To study in Australia a student visa must be obtained from an Australian Embassy or High Commission.

The School’s official Letter of Offer, together with the Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE), should be used to support an application for a visa.

Students should note that they are not permitted to undertake work (such as, part-time or vacation work) unless they have obtained a special visa from the Department of Immigration once they have commenced their studies.
