This term, our Year 6 students experienced the thrill of immersive technology through a Virtual Reality incursion featuring the popular rhythm game Beat Saber. Using cutting-edge VR headsets, students entered a dynamic digital environment where they honed their coordination and strategic thinking skills - all while having a great time.
More than just a game, the experience gave students a hands-on introduction to how emerging technologies like VR are shaping the future of entertainment, learning, and even industry. The incursion sparked conversations around digital innovation, user interface design, and the potential of VR.
We are thrilled to share that the Top Eight scorers from the day have now been selected to represent Ivanhoe Girls’ at Australia’s first National Schools VR Beat Saber Esports Competition.
A huge congratulations to our finalists — we can’t wait to see where this exciting opportunity takes you!
