Our School Leadership and Service in Senior School

At Ivanhoe Girls', students are given many opportunities to develop leadership skills, while learning the importance of service to their community.

At Ivanhoe Girls', we place great importance on student voice. Developing confident young people with passion, intelligence and commitment to the greater good is integral to our role as a leading independent school.

Leadership and Service are central to an Ivanhoe Girls' education. Students develop leadership experience from Junior School onwards, with formal and informal positions in sporting teams, student representative groups and elected positions, as well as training in public speaking, debating and team activities such as Future Problem Solving.

Our students get involved in many charitable causes, both local and international, and participate in community service to assist local charities and hospitals. Ivanhoe Girls are committed to social justice, sustainability and philanthropy.

Students are recognised for their contributions to service both to the School and the broader community through the School Colour Award system. The School Colours Awards illustrate the value the School places on affirming and celebrating accomplishments gained through hard work, determination and teamwork.
