The three main elements of the Framework are: 'Feeling Good,' 'Doing Good,' and 'Functioning Well.'

Terms 2 and 3 presented our Year 9 students with plenty of service-oriented activities to engage in. In their Religious Education classes, they have been developing their understanding of those who are more vulnerable in our society, and they have been doing some great work in helping to meet some of their needs. We have been inspired by the call of Jesus to care for our neighbour.

In response to hearing about the needs in our community, the Year 9s organised a donation for the Anglicare Victoria FoodBoost drive, seeking to educate and inspire all students in the Senior School to donate food or toiletry items. In the second last week of term, two Anglicare workers brought their van to the School, collected all the goods, and loaded up the van with the help of some of the students. We were so pleased to see several boxes and many bags of food. All the items collected were going straight to Anglicare’s Fitzroy Emergency Relief Pantry, and our school’s contributions would help to restock the shelves. We also gave them some cards and activity packs that students had made on an earlier Service Day.

Well done to all the students who gave generously, and to the Year 9 cohort for organising and promoting the food drive. It has been a great joy watching our school follow the footsteps of Jesus in this way, in showing care, compassion and generosity to all in need.
