On Thursday 23 July, our Prep learners celebrated their 100 days of learning, laughter and growing together!

Our classroom was transformed into Sunshine Island, everyone arriving dressed in bright colours to match our theme of 100 Days Brighter. It was fantastic to see so much creativity, from colourful T-shirts and accessories to bright leggings and hair bows. The smiles were just as bright!

Throughout the day, our learners took part in a range of exciting activities celebrating the number 100. They proudly shared their collections of 100 items before rotating through a series of maths challenges. Using their collections, the children grouped objects into tens, created patterns and measured classroom items. It was wonderful to see how many mathematical ideas could be discovered using something as simple as 100 everyday objects.

A special highlight was welcoming our Year 3 buddies, who joined us to create a keepsake bookmark. It was lovely to see everyone working together, sharing ideas and celebrating this important milestone with their older buddies! Another highlight of the celebration was making and enjoying our delicious fairy bread. We were also thrilled to welcome our very special visitor, Zero the Hero, who has been following our adventures from Day 1.

The celebration was filled with laughter, curiosity and teamwork, while also giving us the opportunity to reflect on just how much we have all grown over the first 100 days of school. From learning to read and write, to making new friends, solving mathematical problems and becoming more confident learners, every child has so much to be proud of.
