On Thursday 30 July, 76 Junior School students from Years 2–6 proudly represented Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School at the Primary Aeroschools Championships held at Narrandjeri Stadium.
After training consistently since the beginning of Term 1, excitement was high as students arrived ready to showcase months of hard work and dedication. As the competition commenced at 8.30am, there was a real buzz in the stadium, with teams eagerly preparing to perform in front of judges, family and supporters.
Every one of our teams performed with confidence, enthusiasm and outstanding teamwork. All students should be incredibly proud of the commitment, resilience and perseverance they demonstrated throughout the season and on competition day.
A huge congratulations to all of our competitors. We are especially excited to congratulate the following students and teams who have qualified for the National Championships on the Gold Coast this September:
1st Place – Multiples Division B: Mia Lu and Emily Truong
3rd Place – Teams Division D: Maddie Cox, Maya Malcolm, Georgie Ligtermoet and Joanna Yang
5th Place – Multiples Division D: Victoria Xing, Kayla Lin and Natalie Liu
We wish these students the very best as they prepare to represent our school at the National Championships on the Gold Coast in September.
A special mention must also go to our Year 2 and Year 3 teams, who absolutely beamed with confidence and joy throughout the day. Their enthusiasm, smiles and willingness to give their very best made them a delight to watch and a wonderful representation of our Junior School spirit.
Thank you to our dedicated coaches, staff and supportive families who have encouraged our students throughout the season. Thank you to our incredible Senior School student coaches. Their commitment, enthusiasm and countless hours spent coaching, encouraging and supporting our Junior School students have been invaluable. Without their time, effort and dedication, this wonderful program simply wouldn't be possible. They are fantastic role models, and we are incredibly grateful for the positive impact they have on our students and the success of our Aeroschools program.
We are incredibly proud of everyone's achievements and look forward to cheering on our National qualifiers in September.
