On Friday 31 July, our students competed at the Aeroschools State Championship after spending the past three terms working hard to learn, develop, and perfect their routines. It has been wonderful to watch everyone’s confidence grow throughout the year as they committed themselves to training and supporting one another

We are so proud of every student who stepped into the square and performed at their very best, showcasing the dedication, teamwork, and determination they have built throughout the season. A huge congratulations to the 17 teams who qualified for the National Championships in Queensland. This is an incredible achievement and a true reflection of the effort and commitment shown by the students. IGGS was also awarded third overall school in the Victoria, a testament to every student who participated.

We look forward to supporting our teams as they continue their journey towards nationals.

Student Reflection  

Friday 31 July was a huge day for our aerobics athletes, with our senior team of 70 students competing at the Victorian Aeroschools Championships.

After countless hours of practice, plenty of smiles, and an unfathomable number of pushups, it was a fantastic day filled with school spirit and outstanding performances. A particular highlight was watching all of the Aerodance teams perform, bringing incredible energy and excitement to the end of a long day.

Our combined results saw us finish 3rd in the Overall Schools Competition, a testament to the hard work, dedication, and teamwork of every athlete who performed. We were also thrilled to have 34 students across 17 teams qualify for the National Championships, which will take place on the Gold Coast during the September school holidays. 

Aeroschools is always such an uplifting event, filled with laughter, unforgettable memories, and incredible team spirit. None of this would have been possible without our amazing coaches, who generously shared their experience, knowledge, and encouragement throughout the season. Their dedication played a significant role in helping us achieve such an unbelievable result. 

We are so proud of everything our athletes accomplished and can't wait to represent Ivanhoe Girls at the National Championships!
