Given the significant amount of changes that occur to the School Calendar in the year, we encourage you to make use of the School Calendar on Hive which is the most accurate and up to date version. We will gradually be rolling out a series of new Calendar changes to Hive and the new Parent App will be available to you prior to the commencement of the 2025 school year.
The Hive Calendar can also be viewed on the Ivanhoe Girls’ App and the App allows you to save relevant school events to your personal calendar on your device. (see further information below regarding the App).
Information for Parents regarding ordering and purchasing your child’s official school photos is outlined below.
In 2025, National Photography will continue to capture our Official Ivanhoe Girls’ Photos. In order to avoid a delivery fee, you are requested to order your relevant photo package as soon as possible.
You will need to order by 27 March 2025 for free delivery to the School.

In addition, if you have more than one child at the School and are interested in having your siblings taken in a photo together, please attend on Thursday 13 March. Further details regarding times will be posted on Hive in the coming weeks.

The 2025 Ivanhoe Girls' Student ID card which is currently used for the School Library and School Café (via Flexischools) includes Public Transport Victoria (PTV) approval. Students will be able to use their 2025 Student ID Card to purchase student passes and concession fares in 2025.
2025 Student ID cards will be issued a few weeks after our planned photo days.
We anticipate students will receive their 2025 cards ahead of your Student Card cut-off date of 1 April 2025 allowing you time to purchase a new pass for 2025.
In addition to the above information, PTV strongly encourages all students to register their myki student pass to protect this high-value product and to be eligible for a replacement if it is lost or stolen. No on-the-spot replacement is possible. Normal myki replacement rules apply. That is, replacement is only available to customers who register their mykis.
A NEW Ivanhoe Girls’ Parent App will be available to you prior to the commencement of the 2025 school year as we undertake final testing.
The NEW App allows you to stay up-to-date with news and notices from the School as it happens and access useful information from Hive quickly.

The previous uniform can continue to be worn in 2022 and 2023 with all students moving to the new uniform from the commencement of 2024. During these transition years, while students will not be able to mix and match items from the old and new uniform collections, they will be able to wear black school shoes with either uniform and will be able to use the new school bag with either uniform from the commencement of 2022.
All parents and students are required to meet the relevant COVIDSafe Plan of the Bob Stewart Uniform Shop and Second Life Uniform Shop at the time of entry. This currently includes the wearing of a mask.
Ivanhoe Girls’ offers families a dedicated school bus service through Mee’s Bus Lines. These modern, clean and safe buses (equipped with seat belts) offer travel to and from the School and for the exclusive use of Ivanhoe Girls’ students. This dedicated bus service operates on two established routes to the north and east of the School that endeavour to provide access to the greatest number of students possible and to bridge gaps in the public transport network. Bus Semester Passes and Casual Tickets are billed to your school account.
Bus travel requests (available on Hive or from the Administration Building) must be completed, signed by a parent/guardian and returned to Reception (123 Marshall Street) so that they may be processed and tickets distributed. Bus fees will be charged to your school account.

Year Level Parent Contact Lists will be distributed via email in Term 1 to parents in the Early Learning Centre to Year 7 only who have given the School written permission (either previously or recently) to share contact details. Please contact the School as soon as possible if you would like your contact details to be included on this list.

All students should have received a copy of the 2024 Golden Mitre publication at the end of the 2024 School year via your Class Teacher (Junior School) or Tutor Group (Senior School). If you didn't receive a copy and would like a copy, you can collect one from Main Reception at 123 Marshall Street. Members of the Class of 2024 will receive their copy at the event on Friday 21 February 2025.
