Congratulations to the Class of 2024
Ivanhoe Girls’ community is extremely proud of the achievements of all students in the Class of 2024, supported so well by their subject teachers, their Tutors and Year Level Co-ordinator, in partnership with their families. Their achievements are a culmination of dedication, consistent effort and sustained commitment throughout their schooling. Whilst we aspire for our students to achieve their personal academic best, we aim for our young people to graduate Ivanhoe Girls’ as kind, curious, brave, connected and vibrant young adults, who are equipped to take responsibility for their own lives and to effect positive change. The Class of 2024 will be remembered as young people who showed outstanding bravery overcoming challenges collectively and living their motto of ‘Bold not Embarrassed’.
We are extremely proud to congratulate the 116 students from the Class of 2024 who completed their VCE studies this year and are eligible for an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR). We are delighted to report that:
- 4% of students achieved an ATAR higher than 99
- 12% of students achieved an ATAR higher than 98
- 29% of students achieved an ATAR higher than 95
- 47% of students achieved an ATAR higher than 90
- 75% of students achieved an ATAR higher than 80.
Our 2024 graduates achieved outstanding results, but the results only show part of the picture. Every single student in the Class of 2024 has their own story, faced their own challenges and gave it their all. They all deserve to be congratulated on their determination to succeed and to remain focussed throughout the year, and for how they supported each other. As staff members, we were inspired, not just by the students whose names appear in this newsletter, but by the many others for whom the success and achievement were just as significant.
A measure of success for many of our students in the Class of 2024 can be characterised by achieving the results that will allow them entry into the tertiary destination of their choice and in knowing that they have the confidence to transition into the next phases of their learning journey. Success will look different for each of our young people. For many, future success is defined by the difference they can make to their world and others. Perhaps success will be to travel and gather experiences and develop passions before settling into further study or perusing a career. Whatever their future holds, each student will experience success and should be excited about what lies ahead.
The friendships forged over many years at Ivanhoe Girls’ are precious. We hope each member of the Class of 2024 remains kind, curious, brave, and vibrant in their actions and outlook on life, and most of all we hope our students remain connected to each other and to Ivanhoe Girls' for life.
Our heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2024 on your extraordinary contribution to Ivanhoe Girls’.
