Learning at Ivanhoe Girls’ is so much more than just what happens inside the classroom.
To prepare young women for the future, a wide range of co-curricular activities is offered as part of the Ivanhoe Girls' experience. Not only do co-curricular activities provide opportunities for our students to develop new interests, but they cultivate vital skills such as teamwork, leadership, resilience, confidence building, time-management and perseverance.
Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School is a member of Girls Sport Victoria (GSV), one of the largest independent girls’ schools sporting Associations in Victoria.
Activities include: aerobics, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, circuit training, cricket, cross country, cycle sport (track and road), diving, fencing, football (AFL), golf, hockey, indoor cricket, kayaking, netball, outdoor education skills, run squad, snowsports, soccer, softball, swimming, synchronised swimming, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, water polo and yoga.
Our excellent music program includes choirs, Symphony Orchestra, Senior Concert Band, Stage Band, Jazz Band, string ensembles, percussion ensembles, and smaller ensembles including string quartets and piano trios.
Opportunities include AIM (Art In Motion) Drama, Debaters Associations of Victoria, public speaking training, Radio Vita and the Annual Senior School Production.
Opportunities include Amnesty International Club, confirmation preparation, Duke of Edinburgh Award Program, International Club, Mustard Christian Group, Red Shield Appeal, Student Representative Council and Youth Parliament.
Including exchange programs, overseas cultural and study tours to China and France as well as a range of other European cultural tours and Space Camps
Including art, astronomy, chess, Library, Future Problem Solving, Golden Mitre School Magazine, Ignite, philanthropy, +Plus Club, Politics Club.
